Does Low-E Glass Really Improve Window Performance?
Maybe you’ve heard of Low-E Glass or Argon gas filled windows, but how do these replacement windows work? We offer both double and triple pane Low-E replacement windows that are constructed with three very distinct components. These specific components work together to ensure our Low-E replacement windows meet EPA Energy Star Guidelines:
- Low-E Glass has a non-visible and non-toxic coating applied to the surface of each individual windowpane which reflects radiant heat, thereby dramatically increasing the window’s thermal performance.
- Our double and triple paned windows feature Low-E Glass and are sealed with inert Argon gas in between the panes. Being much denser than air, Argon gas provides excellent insulation.
- Our windows are constructed using warm-edge spacer technology in between the windowpanes. This stabilizes the unit and reduces any heat transfer or thermal conduction.
